One day, a high school math teacher sat down on his couch with a cup of coffee and an idea: to create a simple calculator. And so, jCalc – Calculator was born.
As a passionate educator, he quickly realized that access to mathematics through a scientific calculator could be even more powerful and transformative. Determined to design a tool that presented math in a clear and meaningful way, he grabbed his trusty whiteboard and began brainstorming. He listed all the features he believed a scientific calculator should have—features that would empower students, teachers, and professionals alike.
Starting from scratch, he took on the challenge. Feature by feature, he built and refined his vision, navigating the often frustrating yet deeply satisfying process of coding. What began as a basic calculator has grown into a versatile scientific tool, constantly evolving with each update as he continues to refine and expand its capabilities.
